Recreation NL celebrates recreation volunteers

11 volunteers honoured during National Volunteer Week

Eleven individuals are being honoured and recognized for their outstanding volunteer contributions to recreation within Newfoundland and Labrador. The 11 volunteers were announced by Blair Delaney, president of RNL during National Volunteer Week.
The recognition certificates are being presented through a partnership between RNL and Downhome Life and supported by the Department of Seniors, Wellness and Social Development.

The 11 recipients include:

Andrea Strickland of Port aux Basques

Clayton Welsh of Grand Bank

Emily Lockyear of Conception Bay South

Esther Barron of Holyrood

Fred Thompson of Portugal Cove-St. Philips

Jaime Murphy of Parker’s Cove

Jim Roache of Placentia

Kendra Lester of Mount Pearl

Linda Adams of Upper Island Cove

Lisa Stagg of Pouch Cove

Mary Mullins of Fortune

Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador (RNL) is a province-wide, not-for-profit organization established in 1971 to promote the values and benefits of recreation.
