Introduction to Playground Planning for Volunteers

Recreation NL has created a 3-hour, Introduction to Playground Planning for Volunteers workshop, with a resource manual.

This workshop walks participants through all the steps to playground planning outlining everything from Step A to Play! The participants receive an awareness of all phases of planning and maintaining a playground including identifying the target group, site location, maintenance and risk management.

Recreation NL designed this workshop for the community recreation volunteer leaders of Newfoundland and Labrador with playground expert, Gerard Philpott, who has over 30 years of playground experience.

These workshops are offered on a regional basis upon demand.
