Youth 12-17 years old should accumulate at least 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous intensity physical activity daily. This should include vigorous intensity activities and strengthening exercises at least 3 times a week.
Youth should also minimize the amount of sedentary time they spend each day. Too much sedentary time could be caused by high levels of screen time, increased amount of time spent indoors and extended periods of sitting.
