Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program – Deadline September 30

The Government of Canada has signed a bilateral agreement with the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador under the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Plan in which $555.9 million in infrastructure funding has been committed to the province Newfoundland and Labrador to support projects that will create long-term economic growth, build inclusive, sustainable and resilient communities and support a low-carbon, green economy over the next ten years.
Of the committed funds $39.8 million has been allocated to the Community Culture and Recreation to build communities, improve social inclusion and to improve access to and/or increase the quality of cultural, recreational and/or community infrastructure in communities. Projects are to include contributions from provincial, federal, and municipal governments and other partners.
Currently the Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment is responsible for administering the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program with information regarding program requirements, outcomes, required documents and an online application to be found at https://www.mae.gov.nl.ca/capital_works/cwfunding.html#p3
