Alliance for the control of Tobacco is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the negative health, economic, and environmental effects of tobacco use on the people of Newfoundland and Labrador.

Governed by a voluntary Board of Directors, Alliance for the control of Tobacco is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Tobacco Reduction Strategy for the province, as well as working with partners in every region towards our vision of a tobacco free Newfoundland and Labrador. Read more

School Sports Newfoundland and Labrador

School Sports is an important non-profit grassroots organization in the social, cultural, educational and economic landscape of our province.  Through School Sports  activities students Grade 4 – 12 from schools all across the province engage in activities that promote healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship and responsibility. They are encouraged to participate in the educational opportunities available to them.  It also serves to teach leadership skills, goal setting and involvement in your school and community life. Read more

Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Circle of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Aboriginal Sport and Recreation Circle of Newfoundland a non-profit organization funded through a bilateral agreement between the federal and provincial governments aimed at increasing the capacity of aboriginal athletes, coaches and officials. We hope to achieve this by conducting athlete development camps and also holding coaching and officials’ clinics in the various aboriginal regions of Newfoundland Labrador. Read more
