GET INVOLVED: The Play Exchange’s ACTIVE AT SCHOOL Challenge

On April 3rd, 2014, the Government of Canada, in partnership with ACTIVE AT SCHOOL, launched a new challenge for students, teachers, principals, school boards and parent councils to get involved in promoting active and healthy living across Canada.

The Play Exchange’s ACTIVE AT SCHOOL Challenge is looking for great ideas in each province and territory to help achieve one hour of daily physical activity for children across Canada. The Play Exchange’s ACTIVE AT SCHOOL Challenge will provide $3,000 to the top innovative idea entered by a school in each province and territory.

To qualify for this special investment, all school submissions need to include an idea that, at minimum, promotes one hour of daily physical activity.

Submissions can be made at www.playexchange.ca until June 18, 2014.

All school submissions will also automatically qualify for the main The Play Exchange competition, which is open to all Canadians, and not just schools.  The winner of The Play Exchange could receive up to $1 million to put their idea into action.
