Inclusive recreation is a concept whereby people with disabilities are given the opportunity to participate in recreational activities. It aims to assist participants with learning new skills as well as being accepted and supported by friends and teammates.
The Inclusion Advisory Committee provides advice, guidance and support for inclusive recreation. The Committee is comprised of individuals that have experience and knowledge of inclusion. This committee has helped Recreation NL develop workshops, grants and resources to support our community members about inclusive practices.
