Provincial Annual Awards Program
Each year Recreation Newfoundland and Labrador recognizes individuals and organizations that have made lasting contributions to the furtherance of recreation within Newfoundland and Labrador.
Awards Presented:
BRIDGING THE GAP
Recognizes efforts of volunteers and volunteer organizations that have made a significant contribution to the development of recreation opportunities for persons with a disability in an integrated setting.
PITCHER PLANT AWARD
Presented to volunteers and volunteer organizations for their outstanding efforts and individual contributions to the development of recreation and leisure services that contribute to improving the quality of life for the citizens of Newfoundland and Labrador. This award is divided into two categories:
(a) Individual
(b) Community/Recreation Commission/Service Group
CY HOSKINS MEMORIAL AWARD
Presented to a full time Recreation Practitioner, this award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to the growth and development of recreation, parks and leisure services. This contribution serves to enhance both the public image of recreation and the profession, for the benefit of all citizens
