Recreation NL is currently looking for submissions for Teen Physical Activity Grants through the ParticipACTION Teen Challenge. These grants will be for teens 13-19 years of age to assist them and their peers in getting more physically active.

Two Types of Grants to Apply for:
1) Ongoing – At least once a week for four weeks (up to $500.00)
2) One Time – A one-time event such as a festival or tournament (up to $250.00)

**Please note, Recreation NL will be creating a 30-Day Community Physical Activity Challenge for the Month of APRIL. Therefore, this funding deadline cansupport activities for that age group for new program ideas and can help your community win incentives and prizes. If you will be linking this grant to the 30-Day Challenge please reference this in your application. Grants can be used towards the purchase of equipment, rental fees, transportation costs, leadership opportunities and/or nutritional snacks. All applicationsmust be submitted online at https://www.participaction.com/teen-challenge/

Deadline for applicationsis Friday, January 23rd, 2015.

Please note it will take up to 3 weeks to notify all applicants about their submission. Unfortunately, due to the number of grants we receive and the amount of funding we have per quarter we are not able to fund all submissions.
